  • Congrats to Minsoo and Weiyang, working with Kaid Harper at AbbVie! They were able to publish the “Sequential Reduction of Nitroalkanes Mediated by CS2 and Amidine/Guanidine Bases: A Controllable Nef Reaction” paper in the Journal of Organic Letter.
  • Nels has published a full paper in the Journal of Organic Chemistry about the stereocontrolled synthesis of the aminocyclopentitol core of Jogyamycin via an Ichikawa rearrangement reaction.

  • Our NIH R01 project involving synthetic approaches to complex amines that inhibit protein synthesis by impacting the ribosome was just renewed!  Thanks to everyone who participated and we look forward to another five years of great research!
